We have a Taumarunui High School student Tanira Hepi that will be doing Gateway with us each Friday this year, as she decides if teaching is something that she would like to pursue. This is her doing some activities with one of the swimming groups.
Our committees are all set to go with every student in either 1 or 2 committees. The Cafe committee is already in full swing doing breakfast in the mornings, giving out fruit and we already have a morning tea with the Principal to prep in week 3. Our PE committee are rostered onto monitoring the PE shed and we had our first lunchtime activity on Thursday run by Rik and Nathaniel. It is exciting times as we have a few new committees this year. We were just approached on Friday with a project for our Art committee to lead and we are looking forward to see what our Music Committee, Glee Club and Science Committee have install for the year.
The most popular thing of the week would have to be Kahoot - the students have thoroughly enjoyed doing various quizzes and using their iPads to answer the questions.
This is Max, Emma and Bailey enjoying their own special Kahoot time.
William discovered 'STOP don't talk to me! I am an Independent learner' this week,
and some of the group 2 swimming group demonstrating their skills while floating on their back.
Week 3 will be a crazy as the first 2 weeks we are sure. Exiting times and great fun in Room M.
This is very interesting I can remember doing that. Could you post the fun day on your blog please?
